  • The Academic Job Search Handbook (5th edition), edited by Julia Miller Vick, Jennifer Furlong & Rosanne Lurie (samples from a wide range of disciplines)

  • Surviving Your Academic Job Search, Kathryn Hume (primarily humanities but a good range of samples)

  • The Professor Is In, Karen Kelsky (doesn’t include samples, but has lots of good information and a very useful skeleton structure for writing an effective academic cover letter)
